And you don't "need" flesh golem come nightfall since there will be another "nightfall only" Minion Master summon.
Ahh, but will it be an Elite skill?

I would argue Flesh Golem (an Elite, Faction Skill) is a must for Minion Master (a particular Necromancer build).

Still, since this is your first game, I would try out Nightfall first, to see if you even like playing a Necro before you start buying specific chapters just for particular skills.

From what I've seen, Nightfall should be a great start.

I misread or misunderstood- I didnt know you already had Chapter 1.

Buying Factions is not a good choice for a hardcore PvE er. The levelling rate is too fast for purists. Its designed to beef you up to lvl 20 around the time you get to the city (i think after every shing jea island quest I was lvl 16 for both my Fax characters)

Its not like Tyria where you can solo the entire game up to the desert with any class.

You also have no need for "droks run" because the Max Armor (and 15 bonus atts) are obtainable early on in the game.

People complain mostly about the 'locked gates' concept. Unlike Tyria you cant just go wherever you want. You need to complete certain quests to make your way through the City (its a big city). If you really look at the story, its excusable for the most part... but honestly I cant say it isnt annoying the third forth or seventh time around.

In my opinion I think ANet lied when they said the team was half and half after GW1... It seems more like 25% worked on Factions and the rest worked on nightfall for over a year.

Many people feel ripped off for buying Factions- I am not one of them. However the views presented in this thread are all viable and represent a fair amount of the game's current population id imagine.
